About myPocket technologies

A one-developer software studio that spent 2001–2003 building a focused catalog of Pocket PC applications — with a single, famously well-supported flagship: Password Juggler.

The short version

myPocket technologies was the independent software project of Darren Mason, who designed and programmed every application on this site himself for the Microsoft Pocket PC. Products launched as early as 2001 and continued through June 2003, when the final flagship release — Password Juggler NX — shipped.

Software was sold through the two major Pocket PC storefronts of the day, Handango.com and PocketGear.com, in per-processor variants (ARM, SH3, MIPS). Every product shipped with a free demo, and every customer question was answered personally by the developer.

What made the products different

Reviews from the 2001–2003 era keep coming back to the same themes:

  • Small and fast. No heavyweight eWallet bloat — just the job, done well, on a 240×320 pixel screen.
  • Security first. Password Juggler encrypted the whole database, added a secure login and an auto shut-off timer, and let users generate random passwords years before it was standard.
  • Personal support. Users reported answers "right away" — the developer worked nights to fix beta install problems and delivered features "in a crunch, from one developer to another."

Press and community

Password Juggler was highly reviewed by PocketNow.com and featured on ceWindows.net. All six published user reviews from 2001–2003 gave the product five stars — read them on the Password Juggler page.

The archive, today

This website is a faithful, modernized restoration of the site as it appeared in the Wayback Machine (snapshot of June 21, 2003). The original layout, text and product screenshots are preserved; the design has been rebuilt for modern browsers, and the old third-party link-exchange banners and dead counter scripts have been removed. Where a 2003 file no longer exists anywhere in the archive — a few demo zips, skins and installer helpers — the page says so honestly instead of linking to a dead URL.

For the visitors who keep coming back for more, there is a resources & further reading page: preservation links for the era, plus a collector's shelf that wanders a little outside the PDA world.
